Girls Camp “Step It Up”

Girls Camp is a six day, five night, resident camping experience dedicated to promoting missions awareness and education. Individual Christian growth and commitment are emphasized. The camping program is sponsored by Woman’s Missionary Union of Maryland/Delaware. It is to give Girls in Action and Acteens, as well as any other girls in grades 4–12, an opportunity to experience Bible study, worship, missions education, recreation and crafts in an outdoor setting.

2022 Theme : Step It Up

This summer, campers will explore how living a Life in Jesus leads to a life of excitement and adventure as we follow His lead and will for our lives.

Dates & Times: July 10-15, 2022 (Check-in at 4:00 pm)
Age: Entering grades 4 -12
Cost: $335/ girls and $160 for adult chaperones (Cost includes program costs, lodging, meals, autograph backpack, crafts and T-shirt)

Location: Camp Wo-Me-To
Wo-Me-To is located at 1200 Knopp Road in Jarrettsville, Maryland 21084, in Harford County, near Rocks State Park. It is owned and operated by Woman’s Missionary Union, an Auxiliary to the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware.

COVID Precautions!!

In order to limit the possibility of COVID- 19 entering Camp Wo-Me-To  property, we will be screening all guests before entry for all camps/ programs. This will include:

  1. All campers, chaperones,counselors, and staff will be required to show a negative at-home test completed within 72 hrs of arriving at camp.
  2. All campers and adult participants will sign and complete a health questionnaire and medical release when arriving at camp,  stating that they exhibited no symptoms associated with COVID-19 during the 14 day period leading up to their arrival at camp Wo-Me-To. This includes a statement that also verifies that they have not been in close contact with a positive case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days. The Health Questionnaire and Medical release form is found in the blue link below. Camp registration is not considered complete until registration is paid in full.
  3.  All participants staying at camp will have a daily temperature check in the morning before leaving the cabin. Anyone with a temperature of 100.3 or higher or showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be isolated and not be allowed to remain at camp.
  4. Wearing a face mask is not required while at camp, however, if you choose to, you may wear a face mask.

These guidelines are subject to change in alignment with the CDC and MD Department of Health recommendations.

Scholarship applications

If you would like to join us this year, but also want to apply for a partial scholarship, please click the link below so that we can include you in our planning.   After completing the online form, you will receive an email with the scholarship application that will need to be downloaded, printed, completed, and then emailed/mailed to Melody Knox.   If you are approved for a scholarship, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the online registration/payment.

*If you are registering as a counselor you must complete a background check online. Background check requests must be submitted by June 18, 2022. If you do not, and there is a problem with the screen that requires research, you may be disqualified from service. No volunteer can serve without an approved background check. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. You must be re-screened if it has been more than one year since your prior screen. Background checks from other organization will not be accepted.
