Our staff
Meet our dedicated staff
Our mission is to prepare a place where people can come to enjoy God’s creation and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to prepare a warm and welcoming place where people can come to forget about the world and find a place where God’s love, peace, joy, hope, grace, and mercy is felt.

Frank Ulmer- Resident Manager
I began my working relationship with Camp Wo-Me-To in 1980, when my dad was hired as the first Resident Manager. From 1980 to 1985 I did whatever was needed to help the camp function. It was a much different camp back then. During those years, I saw God at work here and fell in love with Camp Wo-Me-To. Fast forward 20 years, and I felt like God was calling me to serve Him full time in some sort of ministry. In the fall of 2004 during my search, I found out that the manager position was vacant and the WMU was looking for someone to fill the vacancy. I applied, interviewed, and was hired in April of 2005. I then began the process of closing my construction business and moved with my wife and 2 boys to the camp.
It has been a crazy, busy, wonderful and even stressful experience but it has been great building kingdom relationships and seeing how God provides for His people and His camp. I truly believe that God has sanctified this place for His use, and I have seen Him at work on these grounds changing hearts and lives. It is truly a privilege to serve in this capacity.

Nicole Gore – Adminisrative Assistant
Prior to working at Camp Wo-Me-To, I was a teacher who resigned to be a stay-home mom for 18 years. I worked many jobs, mostly substitute teaching in the schools my daughter attended. Once she graduated and was off to college, I wanted to work part-time. I began working at Camp in March of 2022.
I love connecting with our customers and developing relationships with people who wish to make heaven more crowded. I enjoy watching the seasons change and seeing God’s creation every morning. Camp is a peaceful place, where I feel valued and loved.

Richard “Rick” Shepler –
Operations Manager
I started working at camp in December 2021. I live in Havre De Grace with my wife Lynn, who I’ve been married with for 34 years. I have 4 sons and 9 grandchildren. My favorite quote is: ‘Once your end is assured, its all about the journey’. I enjoy working at Camp Wo-Me-To because its all about the purpose and mission…

Chef Kayla Brooke Snedegar –
Kitchen Manager
I’ve been working here for 2.5 years and was a cook up until I got my culinary degree. Now, I’m the kitchen manager. It’s been a blessing to work here with the rest of the staff; getting to know them and building close friendships. As well as getting to meet people from all over, getting to know each group, their leaders, their stories, and testimonies, and learning about what each group does during their stay at camp. It’s amazing to be part of God’s work and what he’s been doing through Camp Wo-Me-To!

Isaac Walker – Assistant Operations Manager
Camp ministry holds a special place in my life. It provides a place where people of all ages have access to mentorship and discipleship, and its a place where my physical skills can be used to serve the connection between nature, God, and community with others.

Marty Whitesel – Volunteer
I have been retired since 2015 and have had the privilege and blessings to be able to work here at camp. I love the way Frank views our role here: he likens our jobs to the Levites that prepared the tabernacle for worship. That’s what we try to accomplish here – preparing God’s camp for worship.
