Women on Mission
Shirley Mcdonald's mother had to be placed in hospice care. Please keep them in your prayers.

Evangelist Lewis McIlwain (Mac) is president of Thirst No More Corporation (TNMC). He began his official ministry call at New Home Baptist Church in 2000. Through the years Mac has been a praise & worship leader, youth and adult Sunday School teacher, outreach, music minister, and has ministered in song and Word throughout the nation and abroad. He has been active in street outreach, prison ministry, homeless/shelter witnessing and has traveled internationally and has preached to thousands. Through his nonprofit Mac has overseen over 67 projects in Baltimore, City, Kathmandu, Nepal; Naivasha, Kenya; Kigali, Rwanda; Punjab, Pakistan; and his wife’s beloved Chiquimula, Guatemala. All of these projects are related to stimulating rural and village communities with economic sustainability, while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those same communities.
Myra McIlwain was saved 46 years ago at New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore, Md. Rev. Walter Scott Thomas, Pastor. She received her call to missions soon after. She later became a member of Immanuel’s Church of Silver Spring, Md. She made her first short-term mission trip to Guatemala in 1986, then to China; Bemidji, MN; St. Kitts, Mexico and several more trips, and then back to Guatemala. In 1995 she retired from the Social Security Administration after 28 years, sold her house, and moved to Chiquimula, Guatemala as a full-time missionary. In April 2004, after serving eight years at Songs of Joy Home for Children, Myra began a new ministry called Ministerio Comedor y Educacion de Paz, Chiquimula (MCYEP), and later founded a church called “Dios es Nuestra Paz”. The ministry currently assists children through educational support, and other youth related activities that encourage evangelism and missions. The ministry also helps women through weekly Bible studies and other family and community initiatives.
In the month of April 2024, Mac & Myra combined their ministries under the TNMC banner, with MCYEP/Guatemala being the partnering nonprofit for that country. With this great step for the two of them, their ministry now reflects the unity they have shared in holy matrimony for the past 8 years.
